Sara is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Certified Health Coach, & Certified Diabetes Prevention Lifestyle Coach with 17 years of experience. She has been licensed as an RDN through the Commission on Dietetic Registration since 2005 and holds a Certificate in Adult Weight Management.



My Story __
Background:
My passion for cooking and meal planning started as a young girl growing up in Saudi Arabia. As Americans, we were expats because of my father's career. My mother was an excellent cook that used fresh local ingredients to prepare family dinners every night of the week. I adored my mom's cooking. Not only was it delicious and nourishing, but it brought us together as a family every night at the dinner table. Preparing wholesome food with minimal processed ingredients was ingrained in my values, which eventually lead me to pursue an education in nutrition and a career in dietetics at The University of Texas at Austin.
My experience growing up overseas as an expat and traveling at a young age to various countries in Europe, Asia, The Americas, gave me a deep appreciation for cultural cuisine. In addition to Middle Eastern food, I love Mediterranean, Japanese, Thai, Indian, Mexican and Peruvian cuisine. I also enjoy making healthier versions of American comfort foods, such as lasagna, mac n’ cheese, chili, mashed potatoes, tomato soup and grilled cheese.
On one hand, enjoying delicious food, especially with family and friends whenever possible, is an essential joy in life. On the other hand, achieving optimal health and preventing/managing disease is essential to our quality of life. So how do we go about combining the two? Learning how is easier said than done. It takes time and practice to learn these skills and some detective work to figure out what works best for our unique body.
This is one of the many reasons why I have chosen to dedicate my career to helping others learn how to eat well while achieving the best possible outcomes.

I'm an experienced recipe developer that offers custom designed meal plans with recipes and a weekly shopping list catered to your food allergies and taste preferences. In addition, I offer
nutritional analysis and nutrition facts labels for food service & restaurants.
How working with me works:
First schedule a free 15 minute phone consult so we can learn about your lifestyle and goals. I will ask you questions to learn more about your current eating habits, weight status, medication & supplement use, medical conditions, activity level, and motivation.
Next you will schedule a 90 minute initial consult and comprehensive assessment to get started. We will work together to set personal goals and develop a personalized plan that gets you on the right track towards achieving your goals. A week later, we will have a 1 hour follow-up. The majority of clients will benefit from starting with a one month coaching program that includes 4 sessions spaced a week apart. I educate you and provide ongoing encouragement and motivation to give you the the necessary tools for success and maintenance of a healthy lifestyle.
